Speech Title: How to survive the generative AI age

Today I would like to share ideas with you about generative AI. Like the ChatGPT.

Yes, ChatGPT is really really useful. It helps us write reports, summarize documents , and even translate them into any language we want.

Oh, what a great partner it is!

But, as you might imagine, generative AIs have a potential of being our rival. I mean,  we might be replaced by them. They might take our jobs.

I remember reading a shocking news that chatGPT has passed law school exams!

Maybe, one day ,even lawyers might lose their jobs. Or, at least, there will be less need for lawyers because AIs has shown as great performance as humans.

Not only lawyers. Maybe consultants. Physicians. Translators. Counselors.

Thinking about that, I realize how naive I was  when I was scared watching the sci-fi movie TERMINATOR. Human-like robots attacking us, unleashing razor beams against us.

Oh, the real threat was not in their appearance. It was in their ability of doing white collar jobs :-).

So, what can we do? How can we survive this generative AI age?

There is a clue, I believe. That is , being human being.

We are not perfect like them. We make mistakes. We very often slip some lines during a speech. And, sometimes we can’t help but uttering unnecessary filler words like eh, uh-. Oh, my goodness.

But, that is us.  We can not be free from mistakes.

On the contrary, there will be something important in our imperfectness.

Mistakes, failures , sometimes bring about sympathy among us. It might be empathy.  Sometimes friendship. Someone might create comedy from fiascos. Maybe poetry. Or music. All of our undesirable experiences will become the source of our beautiful culture and mutual understanding.

Which is exactly the realm which generative AIs can never touch.

So, lets embrace our imperfectness! Everytime you forget lines during a speech, you are blessed! You will look more unique and attractive than generative AI.

Lets grow empathy with people! We will grow mutual understanding and build long-term relationship, maybe with  our business partners.

I believe, the power of empathy overwhelms the skill of writing perfect business documents.

As a writer, I always try to be empathetic to the people I interview. When I have an open mind , people will also open up to me. Of course the skill of writing articles is important, but nothing can be prioritized than the power of empathy.

So, the next time you deliver a speech, when you get stuck during your speech, you can say at heart  “yes! yes! I get one more inch ahead of ChatGPT!”

Oh what a joyful exercise giving a speech is!

So, I, really appreciate  you all for  listening my imperfect speech with a few filler words :-).

Hope you enjoyed it with your warm heart.

Thank you very much.
